BABBOO

BABBOO is a combo from Italy and Mexico which composes and delivers all original music, mainly inspired by the Latin rhythms´ world and flavoured with folk and jazz hints.

Catchy tunes with strong charisma

In the BABBOO performance the audience is bewitched by the strength and the intensity of the voice, and by the delicacy of some mellow melodies too, which create a good balance between the sexiest roughness of Latin rhythms and the coolest songwriter's Pop.

Everyone is kindly entertained and refreshed by this original, powerful and inspiring music, which lyrics are written in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Italian (and lately in French too!). The original songwriting of the BABBOO varies from Gipsy Manouche to French Musette, from Pop ballads to African Rhythms, from popular Cumbia to intellectual Samba and Cuban Son. Their show can be described as a danceable poetry, very energetic and elegantly rough, moving and touching at the same time.

BABBOO always looks for a kind, eclectic tune, always blinking to the humourous side of reality, but at the same time trying to go to the core of the humain.

BABBOO duo / trio

Very much featured by a strong rhythmical pace, the majority of the music is composed on guitar by Babboo, and then rearranged for double bass. The precious help of the intense and lyrical flavour of Luks Russo on semi-acoustic guitar is definitely giving a more elaborated and complex hint to the arrangements. The part of the percussion is later discussed and arranged with Francisco “Panchit” Jiménez, percussion player for OSO, Orquesta Sinfónica de Oaxaca.
